Happy Birthday

A few days ago... I made this out of fun and boredom.

And also to wish two of my friends a great Happy Birthday. Well... I was just experimenting a bit and hopefully I can come out with a few more.

New Design

I made a new design of a Raya Greeting card  last weekend. Just for a few of my lecturers. I would have made for all  (at least for those who teach me) if it hadn't been so freaking expensive too print them. I would have gone to Bormas cause I was back at home during the weekends but I didn't have time to go. I wish I had gone there instead of having to print here in Seremban.

In Seremban, a colour printed page would cost me RM2.50. I have checked most stores and they cost fairly the same.  And to make a card, you would need to print front and back... you do the math (RM2.50 x 2 =  RM5.00 per card). I decided to print 5 cards (initially it was 10 but realising how much it would have cost me, I cut it to half hehehe) which made me RM20.00 poorer (only after that lady grew pity on me and gave me a 50 cents discount for each printed page).

I know Bormas would have charged me lesser because the last time I had my cards printed... it was far cheaper. And at that time, if I am not mistaken, I printed 7 cards and cost me less than half what I have paid for 5 cards (in Seremban). And seriously, the printing was much finer with Bormas.

Ok so maybe I am promoting Bormas more than I should... but what can you expect? I am a very satisfied customer of Bormas and yes, maybe they should start paying me for the good words I put out about them Haha!

Bringing the OLD back!

It was nearly the end of the month of Ramadan. The Muslims were still dedicatedly fasting (so were I). And everyone were busy preparing for the celebration of Eid day - shopping, cleaning the house and all. Five to ten years back before Facebook or Twitter kicked in, everyone including my sister and myself would buy a bunch of greeting cards to be sent out to families and friends. And we in return, would receive more than a dozen each  few days before the celebration. It was really something to look forward to.

But, you probably have guessed. No one really send greeting cards nowadays except for cheap companies solely for promotion and advertising. So, I was thinking that night that maybe I should bring the tradition back into the present. I mean, who would expect to receive greeting cards from friends and families nowadays? Which is good right? It will be something special and certainly surprising (or probably a total shock to younger generations who never seen a greeting card before or never knew such tradition ever exists)

So, I thought maybe I should start making my very own cards and send them out to my friends. So, that's what I did. And it didn't took me that long to produce one.

The outcome was fantastic. I really love the printing done by Bormas... Not only I think it is cheap and reasonable but the printing and the colour turned out to be beyond amazing! And plus, my friends love it. Haha

Let's Get Started!

I have always love to draw. I could remember the time when I would draw cartoons and stuffs during exams or when I was bored back at home. I used to have a dozen of empty books I used to draw all my cartoons. During the Pokemon and Digimon era, I would draw different kind of species of weird looking and most certainly powerful creatures on the books. Drawing has certainly played a huge part of my childhood.

It wasn't long ago when I guess, I was aware that people actually took attention on my drawings. Wasn't really the attention that would bring me money if you know what I mean. It was more like a praise or two or a few constructive comments on my drawings. I guess... those comments and critics that prompt me to set up this blog. I want to share with people things that I love and enjoy.

Peace!
